Someday I Will...

I'm one of those people who as much as I love the here and now, I also love daydreaming about the future and all that I want to do in the future.  So when I didn't have the slightest clue as what to write about today(which seems to be a common occurrence for me lately) and when Taylor from the Daily Tay announced a one-time linkup, I decided today would be a good day to talk about the someday I wills.

Someday I will get married and have kids.  I will feel like a princess on my wedding day and have a fun reception.  

Someday I will own and operate my own coffee shop, it might not be for another 20 or 30 years, but I think it would be so much fun.  

Someday I will let my wanderlust take over and travel all over the United States.  Storm chase on the Plains, see a few races in North Carolina, go to a few concerts, etc.  

Someday I will own a Mac again.  

Someday I will go to a Blake Shelton concert.  

Someday I will meet my Prince Charming.  

Someday I will have my own house and I will get my own black lab puppy.

Thankful Thursday.

I haven't done a thankful post for a while, so that's what's up for today. 

I'm thankful for:

-cousins that are more like siblings..as evidenced by the picture above.  

-an awesome relationship with my parents and grandparents. 

-country music, it has gotten me through a lot.  good times and bad. 

-my Keurig.  It's so nice to have a hot cup of coffee in two minutes!  

-a job that I love.

I Admit..

+I admit...that this is my new favorite shirt, that I hate taking pictures of myself because they always turn out like this, that I got this shirt at Wally World(hello 10% employee discount!), and that I took this picture in a public bathroom.  #bloggerprobs

+I admit that after a somewhat rocky middle of summer, my life and relationships with different people in my life is pretty dang awesome.  & I couldn't be happier. 

+I admit that when Mady moved out I was a little upset, but I love not being in her shadow anymore.  And yes, she was the younger sister, but I was the more quiet, reserved one. 

+I admit that I'm not ready for my grandparents to leave for Arizona yet.  They'll be gone within the next week.  

+I admit that I'm already counting down the days to when I get to see Luke Bryan in concert, too many right now :)

+I admit that I find it so inspiring that my Aunt and Uncle are celebrating twenty years of wedded bliss today, and that I take great pride in being their flower girl & resident favorite niece! 

+I admit that I'm sucked into The Voice this season again, as well as Grey's (#teammer) and Nashville(#teamdeacon).  

+I admit that I kind of sucked it up with my goals this month, next week will be the full recap on them. #oy

+I admit that I'm super excited to have my work momma back on Saturday, she had a stroke two weeks ago today & I was afraid she wouldn't remember our relationship, but she does and I can't wait to give her a big huge hug.

I Believe

It's been forever since I did one of these types of posts, so here we goooo...

I believe that my dogs are my babies.

Cookies 'n' Creamtini

⅓ cup milk or cream

¼ cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

1½ teaspoons JELL-O Oreo instant pudding mix

Hershey’s chocolate sauce

Before I sign off for the day, I just wanted to give my younger brother Zak a huge birthday shoutout, today is his 13th birthday!! Have a great birthday bud! Love you! 

What's Your Name.

I was supposed to be Anna Marie, but my mom's mother thought the name was too old fashioned for a little girl.  I was also going to be a Brittany, but then my Aunt and Uncle got a dog and named her Brittany.  I'm not sure how Meghan came to be my name or why my parents decided to add the "H" but I am always very excited when I meet other Meghans that spell their names correctly haha! 

Not many things rhyme with Meghan, so my Mom would sometimes call me Meghan bo Beghan.  

My name is Irish, and it means pearl.  For the most part I really like my name.  Sometimes I wish it was more original, but I'm glad I'm not being called Apple or Coco so there's that.  

I'll answer to just about anything, but some of my popular nicknames are Megs, Meg, Meggy, Lovebug, Squeezebox, Lil Bit, Little Meghan, etc.  My favorite one is probably squeezebox because only my work momma calls me that, and I'm the only one that is squeezebox :)

You're Gonna Die Alone.

So this song came out about six months before my 21st birthday.

Now that I am 21, my lovely little brother loves to inform me that I'm gonna die alone, because not only do I not have two children, I don't have one and I certainly don't have a husband.   I love that kid, he may drive me crazy, but he sure can make me laugh as well.

Locked&Reloaded.

Why yes, it is almost 8, but I have to recap the awesome time I had with my cousin Stephanie at the Locked & Reloaded concert on Friday night! Jukebox Mafia opened for Dierks Bentley and they were okay, but then the real fun started.  Dierks sang all of his hits--my favorites were Lots of Leaving Left to Do & What Was I Thinking, oh and Home! That was epic.  Then Miranda came out and it took a little bit to get into it, but once she hit her mark, she hit it hard, I could have listened to her for another hour or two, the only thing that would have made her set better is if Blake would have made a surprise appearance.  My favorite songs of hers that she performed were Gunpowder and Lead, The House that Built Me & Over You.

Saturday I didn't do much, but Sunday I got to go to church with my grandparents and then had lunch with them and watched the Vikings lose horribly to the Panthers with my Grandpa.  Other than that, it's been a How I Met Your Mother weekend.  I'm marathoning it on Netflix, because that's how awesome my life is.

I have six ducks that live in a kennel behind my house, we were gonna let them go, but they WON'T leave! We've raised them since we bought them when they were like 4 weeks old.  
I love my dog more than most humans. 
I think some of the best times are spent at home hanging with my family.  
I break things into smaller things before I eat them..most of the time..it's the braces I think :)

This Blog Has Gone to The Dogs.

Hello fellow blog readers and writers.  I am Cooper and I have taken over Meghan's blog for the day.  She told me she had to go get her braces tightened? Youch.  So I thought I'd help her out and write her post for her today.  Not my fault she left me out to fend for myself!

Like I said, I'm Cooper.  I am a weimaraner which is just a big long word for adorable dog.  Duh.  In the above picture I was being pensive up on my Mom's bed.  Meghan says it was because Chloe was being mean to me.  I disagree.  That's my thinking face, not my my golden retriever sister is being a meanie face.  & Meghan thinks she knows me so well. HAH!! 

Let's talk about Chloe for a second okay?  Last year, she just showed up! Do those humans of my mine ask me if I wanted another dog? NOOO! They just say Cooper, this is your sister Chloe be nice to her! They don't seem to understand she's the one who's mean to me.  

And then there's Meghan.  She leaves me for half of each week to go visit her mom in a different house and she tells me there isn't another dog, she is a liar! I looked at Facebook, and she seems to have some sort of rat for a dog, his name is Leader...heree, I'll show you a picture, and you can all tell me that I am much cuter and Leader is in fact a RAT! 

But y'know what? In the end, she always comes home to me.  & I may or may not jump on to her nightstand because I'm so excited to see her.  And she seems to think it's so cute when I hold her foot with my paw, no lady, it's because I don't want you to go see that rat you call Leader again.  

This is where that silly human I call Meghan would say please ignore her ugly feet.  This is where I, Cooper the dog say, dang girl, you need a pedi stat, your feet are U-G-L-Y, and you ain't got no alibi.  

& then she thinks it's fun to tell her Mom that I've already eaten, because yes, I have already eaten, but if Meghan doesn't tell her, Mom will just feed me again.  I may need to bribe her with a Milkbone or something to lie to Mom.  Too much food? No such thing.  That's like too much hunting.  Meghan doesn't like grouse hunting because I leave her for like a week, and that makes her sad.  It's called payback!! 

this is the face I make when Meghan asks, "COOP THE POOP, YOU WANNA EAT?" No woman, I want to starve to death! 

Uh-oh, sounds like Mom and Meghan are home! Coop out! 

I'm Feeling....21?

I'm newly 21, as in I just turned 21 in April.  I went out and had a sip of wine that tasted NASTY btdubs.  That was my 21st.  

But then, then I met my best friend(we met online through another journal site.) in August and we decided we were going to go to this awesome new country bar called the Horney Bull.  Until they were out of business.

Another country bar, where Jayme and I proceeded to get quite drunk.  I knew I was in trouble when I couldn't remember the words to Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks.  I may or may not have spilled a drink on Jayme, she may have been hit on by a guy she goes to school with, and we most definitely did a drunk vlog that will not be making it's way to the interwebz anytime soon.  We're also sticking with the story that Jayme and I would not have got as drunk if we had gone to the Horney Bull, because they had dancing and mechanical bulls and Shotgun Betty's did not.  

Also, I may have swore I'm never getting drunk again, because I didn't get sick as much as I was just worn out the day after.

Nothing to do with this post.  

Good morning ladies! So my 31 series is a fail, as is my blog every day in October..Oh well.  I had a horrible migraine headache for most of yesterday, and just didn't feel like trying to get a blog post out as well.

I don't have anything concrete planned for today, so you'll get a little of this and a little of that...

Have any of you heard about the woman who got fired from her job for putting down military personnel?  This one really got me fired up!  You can be anti-war, but it has always been of my opinion that if you don't want to stand behind the troops, you are more than welcome to stand in front of them!

I'm officially PSLed out.  I'm back to my signature drink of Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha.

My sister turned 18 two weeks ago tomorrow and then moved in with her best friend because of a fight she had with my stepmom.  I thought I'd miss her and there are times I wish she was wanting to hang out and be good friends like we used to, but most of the time, I'm of the mindset, it's her loss.  I have my own room now & I love it.

Three more days until Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley! I am so pumped!! After this concert, I'll have seen three of the biggest names in country music in less than a year(I saw George Strait in February!)

It doesn't hurt that I get to go with one of the sweetest girls I know, my cousin Steph(the non-ginger in the picture up there with me!)

Are any of the rest of you as obsessed with the voice as I am?  What about Nashville?  I wish Deacon and Rayna would actually get together AND stay together!

I was quiet, and I was ready to move to my dad's after my junior year of high school, so I had a I don't give a damn attitude, I wonder if I would have had more fun if I would have actually lived for that moment in time, instead of wishing the time away?

October goals..

So I think it's time I started making and holding myself to goals again, so here are October's:

-Put and keep $500 into savings!

-Come up with a story idea for NaNoWriMo

-Have an amazing time at the Dierks Bentley/Miranda Lambert concert!

-Prepare for a no-spend November.

Where I'm From.

So I know this was a prompt of Blogtember, but I joined after this prompt, so I'm doing it now.  

Where am I from?

I'm from a small town just north of Minneapolis that I love.  I'm the product of a raising, I say hey y'all anyhaw, not really, but I am the product of my raising.  I'm from where it's not just nice to be nice, it's expected.  I'm from the same town that both my stepmom and my dad grew up and graduated from.  I'm from seeing grandparents and my extended family as much as possible.  I'm from where country music is what's on the radio and a Chevy is what we are riding around in.  I'm from where your family is the second most important thing in this world only after your faith.  I'm from where your dogs are more than just pets they're essentially another child or children.  I'm from where you work for everything you have, but if you see a giveaway like this, you never pass it up!
