18.Tattoos on this Town by Jason Aldean
19.One More Day by Rocket Club
20.The Baby by Blake Shelton

Not surprised to see 19 of the 20 were country.  Also not surprised that King George made the list three times!

What was the first CD that you bought?

The first CD I bought with my own money would be Tim McGraw's Greatest Hits.  & I'm pretty sure I still have it somewhere at my mom's house.

What song or album has had the most impact on you or changed you the most?

I remember when I was 15 or 16, on the way to our cabin, we took both vehicles, my stepmom, stepsister and I in one car and my dad and brothers in another, and Lynn popped in Garth Brooks' live album and we jammed out to that the whole way there, making up a dance for two pina coladas, and singing along to Friends in Low Places.  So I'd say the live album of Garth's really has had memories attached to it, I still love it 5 or 6 years later.

Most embarrassing song on my iPhone?

Hmm. It's kind of sad how much I love JT's Suit and Tie, otherwise nothing too overly embarrassing.

First concert you attended?

First one I can remember is Casting Crowns.  They're an awesome Christian band.

Song with the most plays on your itunes account?

I don't really use Itunes, but the most played song on there is Somebody's Hero by Jamie O'Neal.  It's my song for my stepmomma.

Show us your lock screen

& my lock screen is this, which I found on Pinterest!

Happy Happy Happy.

Today is a pretty special day in our family, because forty-six years ago, a new chapter of a love story that started in high school was begun, my grandpa and grandma said "I Do."

They are the center of our family and I couldn't chose two more awesome people to be my "step"grandparents.  I say "step" because I've always been a granddaughter and been included.  I've never been made to feel like I'm an outsider and I love that.

They make me want to be a better person, I can't imagine my life without these two amazing people in it.  Whether it's a night playing cards at our house, Christmas dinners at their house, my grandpa's laughter, my grandma's prayers, the way he talks or the way she cooks.  The way my grandpa grabs your neck when he walks up to you and pulls you in closer and the way my grandma's hug feels after they've returned home from a winter stay in Arizona. The way she yells RICHARD! when he's annoyed her in some way, the way he holds her hand & holds open the door for her wherever they go.  My grandma says she got one of the last good ones who can and willingly does anything for her.  She's always telling me I'll never find a man as good as my grandpa.   These things make up just a few of my favorite things about my grandparents and the love they share.

Happy Anniversary to my awesome grandparents I love you guys SO much.

Hello My Name Is...

" target="_blank">
"/>

I saw this link up with Kerrie and knew I wanted to join in and be a part of it!

Before Jesus(and to be quite honest, even through the first few years of my relationship with Him) I was a worrier.  A worrywart, what happens if A,B, or even C happens? How will I cope? What will I do? Will my family and I be okay?

When I was 15 or 16, I first heard Philippians 4:6 on our local Christian radio station and I listened, but didn't let it really sink in, but I heard it again when I was graduating high school and then it became something to me, my life verse if you will.  I can't sit here and tell you that I am perfect and always lay my worries down to Jesus and let them go.  Because that's the farthest thing from the truth.

My new name is prayer warrior.  I try and pray myself through every difficulty, but again, that doesn't make me any less agitated when I ask my mom or grandma for advice for them to turn me back to Jesus.  I am trying to work on that too :) God's working on me!

Have a great day everybody!

I Confess...

I haven't done a confessional post in a while, possibly ever, so I thought I'd do one now.

I confess...that sometimes I feel like the blogging world is SO judgmental and it can be very clique-y. I also confess that sometimes I let it get to me way too much, because I have a group of great blog friends that I love dearly! (the other confessions aren't nearly as deep, I promise!)

I confess that I used to be deathly afraid of automatic flushing toilets, but it now drives me crazy when a public toilet isn't an automatic flush.

I confess that I have a huge woman crush on Miranda Lambert.

I confess that I am a country girl through and through, but am obsessed with JT's Mirrors and Give me a Reason by P!NK

I confess that it drives me nuts when people are rude.  I didn't think it was too difficult to open a door or say thank you, but apparently it is. Mady tells me I have too high of expectations, I told her she's crazy.

I confess that I used the expression cray cray the other day when describing a person on Days of Our Lives and now my stepmom is saying it.

I confess that I've enjoyed the extra time I've been spending with my stepmom this last week, even if she is an indecisive shopper!

So what are you confessing today?

Heart=Broken.

Like I wrote in yesterday's post, I woke up Sunday morning to find out that three members of the storm chasing community had lost their lives in the El Reno tornado on Friday.  My best friend had texted me letting me know & all day Sunday, my twitter feed, my facebook page & news sites were filled with the news.  I broke down and cried a little.  For never meeting these three men, they were a part of my circle of friends, and I mourn that they have died.

I take comfort in the fact that it was more than likely fast and that I know for a fact they died doing what they loved.  What brings me heartache is the fact that Kathy Samaras is now without her husband and son and her daughters are without a father and brother.  I think the hardest part though for me is that his grandchildren are without a grandpa.  If you've read my blog for any length of time, you'll understand why, my grandpa is my hero.

They were killed when the tornado made an abrupt and unexpected turn to the north, coming right at the team.

We will miss you all, and the community will never forget you!

This Weekend I...

Woah! There's actually two weekends in a row that I've done blogworthy things, so I'm linking up with Syn and Sar once again for This Weekend I...

This Weekend I... went to Grand Casino on Mille Lacs and lost money. Only $16 but still.

This weekend I...had this conversation with Mady:
Mady: What lake is that?
Me: Mille Lacs
Mady: Oh is that a Great Lake?
All of us: *laughs*

This weekend I...wore my hair curly

This weekend I...went up north and celebrated my cousin's graduation with a party, fun, but a long day as we drove about 6 hours in one day.

This weekend I...had the second cousin sleepover of the summer with Mady & Spencer.

This weekend I...woke up on Sunday morning to a text from my best friend saying that three of the best in our storm chasing family had passed away.  If you could see me right now, I'm a hot mess.  This is the first time I've written that out.  How can your heart break so much for three men you've never met? Because just like blogging, the storm chasing family is closeknit.
RIP Tim, Carl & Paul(my thoughts and memories tomorrow)

Did you do anything fun this weekend?
