first, some facts about yours truly.

fact- I am a night owl, rather than a early riser, whereas, most of my family is the opposite.

fact-I love when the clock reads 12:34, or is a palindrome.

fact- I eat ranch with a lot of random foods.

fact- my sister is my best friend, my partner in crime.

fact-my youngest brother & I fight like cats and dogs, but we also are really close.

fact- I forgive easily, but forget not very well.

fact- I just got my first iPhone a couple weeks ago and I love it.

fact- I treat my dogs like they are humans.

fact- I am obsessed with music.  I will listen to the same songs over & over.

tonight, I wanna talk about my one of my best friends, who I met on thee interwebs a few years back. 

The bestest on the right with Renee Yohe, lead singer of Bearcat!  

her name's jayme, but I call her the bestest :)

She's the person I got to for just about anything, and I know she will give me her honest opinion no matter what, & I love her for it!  

she's a book nerd for life like me & she doesn't give herself enough credit, but she is just plain awesomesauce, she's going to drake to become a teacher, but she's getting lots of endorsements, because she doesn't have any limits on her dreams.  

She is passionate about many things, but probably the thing she is most passionate about outside of her fiance, family & friends, is TWLOHA & she inspires me all the time to take a stand for what I believe in!

Jayme Sue, you are my best friend, even if we don't talk as much as we'd like and we might not always see eye to eye, I know you are always here for me & I'm so thankful for that! I hope to meet you IRL ASAP!

On My Mind.

This might be a little or maybe a lot random, but bear with me, mmk?

I probably should be asleep right now, since y'know I work at 7 tomorrow morning, but instead I'm blogging. Priorities people priorities!  

So butthead broke up with Mady last night, and to say I'm happy, probably makes me sound like a completely horrible sister, but she deserved so much better!  

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with the fam and a few of Ryan's friends tonight, it was good. 

Work is going good, service desk drama is at a high right now, people lying straight to my face, people talking crap about me, but y'know what, I'm done with it.  I am trying a lot harder lately to just let it be, if they hate me fine, but I must not suck as horribly as some of my coworkers say I do, because I have no management complaints do I? No, I do not.  

I just realized I'm gonna be at my mom's three of the next four weekends, this weekend it'll just be for shiz & giggles, the weekend after is Super Bowl, gonna be at home the weekend after that, and the weekend after that is GEORGE friggin STRAIT!  To say I'm excited would be an understatement!  

& I think I'm gonna do an accent vlog, since Liz asked about my accent and has been bugging me to vlog!  I should have that up within the week! 

All right, I am hitting the hay since 6am is going to come awfully quick!

A to Z of me.

I've seen this floating around, so I thought it would be a good Saturday post...


AGE = 20.  I'll be 21 on April 2nd.  I don't know how that happened, but the years from 18 to 21 sure have flown!  


BED SIZE = Double.  Top bunk.  I share a room with my 17 year old sister.  It works for us :)  


CHORE YOU HATE = Cleaning the tub, and secondarily, putting away folded laundry. 


DOGS = I have three, Leader, Cooper & Chloe.  Leader is a beagle and lives at my mom's house, Cooper is a weimaraner & Chloe is a golden retriever, the last two are often on my instagram feed

ESSENTIAL START TO YOUR DAY =  Taking a couple of minutes to wake myself up, I usually check my phone as well.  


FAVORITE COLOR = I really like the combos of pink & brown.  & pink just by itself.  


GOLD OR SILVER =  I like white gold.  

HEIGHT = 5' on a good day.  


INSTRUMENTS YOU PLAY = Nada. 
JOB TITLE = Wally World customer service!  


KIDS = I want them in the future!  


LIVE = Elk River, Minnesnowta.  


MARRIED = Again I want to get married, I may have told my stepmom the other day, I don't want to play the dating game, I don't want to have the relationship drama, I want to find God's match for me, more wham bam thank you ma'am.  Her response? So an arranged marriage? We can make that happen.  I love her :)  Not to say I think marriage is going to be easy, I know that's not the case.  


NICKNAMES =   Megs, Meggy, Lil' Meghan, Little Bit, Squeeze Box(these three are work nicknames given to me by my supervisors :D), Trouble, Mady & I had a ton of nicknames for each other while I was in high school, the kind of stuff that only sisters come up with lol.  I was TUPAC(total utter piece a crap) & she was Princess(still is.), Dumbnut & Dipstick, Legs & Pause, Steve & Kissimmee.  etc, etc.  

OVERNIGHT HOSPITAL STAYS = Lots.  I've had five or six major surgeries and spent most of July 1998 in Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.  

PET PEEVE = Continued pessimism, talking in circles, liars, etc etc.

SIBLINGS =  I have a stepbrother Nik (22), two stepsisters Rebekka (18) & Mady (17), a brother Matt (17), two half brothers Zak (12) & Ryan (11), and a half sister Olivia (9).  Nik & Rebekka are my stepdad's, Mady is my stepmom's, Zak & Olivia are my mom and stepdad's and Ryan is my Dad & stepmom's together. 


TIME YOU WAKE UP =  It honestly depends on the day.  

UNIVERSITY ATTENDED = Anoka Tech.  

VEGGIES YOU DISLIKE = Green Beans & beets if those are vegetables.  


WHAT MAKES YOU RUN LATE = Oversleeping more than likely.  

X-RAYS YOU'VE HAD = Teeth, head, when I broke my ankle when I was 4.  


YUMM FOOD =  Anything that my Grandma H makes. 

ZOO FAVORITE ANIMAL = Monkeys and the giraffes.

-to really love your classes this semester

-to get frustrated when you can crank out blog posts no problem, but when you need to write a personal narrative for Comp class, you get writer's block.

-that not everyone likes you, like Neely said last week, I'm not the jackass whisperer!

-to not really like your sister's boyfriend, it sucks, but it's okay. 

-to be glad that said boyfriend will be out of ten days!
-to write up your posts before typing them.

-to like your dogs more than humans some days

-to be excited when your dryer's lint filter gets fixed.

-to have a hoodie/sweats day every once in a while!

-to love my cheetah hoodie footie pjs that I got for Christmas

1. What is your blog's name & how long have you been blogging? 

I named my blog They Call Her Meghan because I loved how it sounded and then I moved away from where everyone knew me & started over in a town living with my dad & stepmom and no one knowing me as Meghan, but as Mady&Ryan's sister or Randy&Lynn's daughter, just something to remind myself & anyone who comes across this slice of internet, that I'm Meghan.  

I have been blogging since August 2010, but feel like I've really come into my own in the blog world these last 6 to 8 months!  

2. Why do you blog?

I blog to have an outlet for the thoughts that crowd my brain on a daily basis.  It's my place to be me, and to be unique.  I didn't have something people knew me for growing up, like most of my siblings did(sports,music,academics,etc), but this blog is mine, and it's something that people can know me for.  Nothing is more awesome, than having your pastor's wife come up to you before church and tell you she likes your blog!  

3. What is the first blog you ever followed? 

I honestly have no idea.  I wish I could remember :(

4. What is your favorite post you wrote in 2012?

Hmm.  Probably this one about my grandparents and how blood doesn't mean everything.  

5. What are your blogging goals for 2013?

-Post 275 times.

-Promote better through facebook/twitter/instagram

-Reach out to more bloggers, comment more, etc

Hey! I'm Meghan, obviously cause the blog's name is They Call Her Meghan!
I'm a newly twenty something and I blow out the candles each year on April 2nd!  
I love my life, and am so blessed to be able to say that. I love the little moments in life, because I believe they make some of the best memories.  

 
I love to laugh and smile. 
I am the one that all my friends come to to vent or get advice, because for some odd reason, they think I know what I'm talking about.
I write about my life, my family & friends, my faith, and just my everyday happenings.
I'm a daughter, sister, best friend, furmom, granddaughter, blogger, court reporting student. I drink Starbucks way too much, am loyal to the end unless you mess with me.  I love laughing until I cry over stupid things, I love staying in and watching movies with my sissy and my furbabies Coop & Chloe.  I blog for myself, I may blog once a week or two or three times a day, depending on my mood.  I would love to be able to cook, but don't really have the time(or my own kitchen) to try it, I am most comfortable in jeans and a hoodie, so you probably won't be seeing me post outfits I've worn. 

Country music is the soundtrack to my life & I often have headphones in listening to anything from Johnny Cash to Florida Georgia Line.

It's Okay!

It's been a New York minute since I linked up with two of my faves Amber & Neely for It's Okay, so here I am today!  

It's okay to still be super excited about your Iphone that you bought on Sunday.  

It's okay that you named said Iphone.  Her name is Lola.  

It's okay to wonder how the last minute on the washer takes over a half hour. 

It's okay to be super bummed that you're gonna miss Grey's tonight, so you'll watch it on abc.com when you get home.  

It's okay to be back in the reading mood.  I am in LOVE with books.  Thank God for my Kindle.

It's okay that I'm really not ready to start school again on Monday.

It's okay to be happy that you're back in the writing and blogging groove.

Welcome Back!

 My poor blog has sat blank for over 3 weeks.  

This is sad.  

So, we're going to do the probably somewhat tacky week-late New Years Resolutions, and I don't even think I would call them Resolutions, because I think these are all attainable.  

1) Be more Active.  I want to try & be active 4 of every 7 days.  For at least 20 minutes a day.  Whether it just be Just Dance on the Wii or doing Couch to 5k or what have you.  

2) Read my Bible more.  I want to find a plan & stick with it.  Jen posted a great list of plans on her blog that I plan to go back & scour to find the one that's the right fit for me. 

3) Read 100 books.  I didn't keep great track of this in 2012, but I'm going to try and hit 100.  Keep up to date with me on Goodreads!  

4) Post on the blog 275 times! I want 2013 to be a year to remember for this blog. 

5) Build my savings up. Easy enough, I have loose change in my savings account right now, it's quite sad. 

6) Get my license!!

I'm back from this unannounced blog break I've taken the last almost month!
