SANTA!
When we were younger, my Grandpa's friend Barry would dress up as Santa for us & he'd hand out a present to each of us, my favorite from these years was probably a weather calendar(yep, I'm a weather nerd. Especially tornadoes!) Last year, my Grandpa was Santa for us & then went over to Barry's and did Santa for them.

NYE with my Mom.
My parents are divorced, have been since I was about 8, and when I was in school, we'd swap who we were with for Christmas/New Years, now that I'm older and have to work, I always try and go to my mom's for New Years.

Christmas Eve Pick-up.
I work retail, so the first two years I was at my job, I had to work until mid-evening on Christmas Eve. My family(my grandparents, parents and younger brother and sister) took it upon themselves to come embarrass me when they picked me up. The first year, it was just yelling my name and WOO when they parked in front of the store, but the second year, they got the big guns out, had bells and whistles and started it as soon as they came into the parking lot, my sister and brother may or may not have been hanging out the sunroof :) This is my favorite tradition that I have as an adult, just because I was so disappointed last year when I had off and I didn't get to take part in this.
What's your favorite Christmas traditions/holiday traditions? Link up and let everyone know!
Visiting from the link up! The Christmas eve pick up is really cute! I would HATE if my family did that to me, like would be in tears. I didn't even think to write about NYE traditions! I'm going to have to do a separate post about that!
ReplyDeleteYour family seems awesome!! I love the ways they embarrassed you in the parking lot--that's too good! ;) And the Santa tradition is awesome! Thanks for linking up again, Meghan!
ReplyDeleteHahaha I think I would pay to see your family picking you up from work! Such a bummer that you have to work on Christmas Eve, but really sweet of them to try and make it a little better! :) Thanks for joining us again!
