It's All About Me v.2

Week 2 of Kasey's awesome link-up!
I decided to do 19 facts about myself, one for every year I've been alive.
-1-Jesus is my #1. I fail daily, and he loves me through it all.
-2- I have music ADD, I will listen to anything once. Right now, I'm on a George Strait kick though.
-3-My "type" is the gentlemanly country boy who can make a cowboy hat & wranglers look good :D I am a firm believer that civalry is NOT dead.
-4-I have the best family in the world. I believe that family is not made by blood, but by relationships.
-5- I can sing the ABC's backwards.
-6-My life verse is Philippians 4:6, Worry about Nothing & Pray about Everything. I eventually want to get a tattoo that says this!
-7-I give 100% to everything I do. I'm very all or nothing.
-8-The number one thing on my bucket list is to go stormchasing with Reed Timmer.
-9-I am a very loyal friend. You mess with one man you got us all! Go ahead and tell me what song that's from :D
-10-I gave up Mountain Dew when I got my braces on. Now I love Diet Coke.
-11-I am very perceptive on people's feelings. This can be a blessing and a curse.
-12-I'm saving my first kiss for my wedding.
-13-I love living in the country.
-14-I love NASCAR.
-15-I used to be obsessed with Barney.
-16-I'm going to attempt NaNoWriMo in November.
-17-My best birthday was when I turned 16, and my Dad surprised me at school with a HUGE cake & 24 long stem roses :D
-18-This blog post is my way of procrastinating on my Med Term homework that is due at 7 tonight.
-19-I am addicted to pinterest! Who isn't these days?

Customer Service Tales

I was going to write about how my relationship with my step-grandparents has progressed through the eleven or so years I have known them, but all the pictures I was gonna post with it are on Lynn's computer and I'm here at school, so I thought I would give you a few stories I've been a part of since starting up at the service desk almost a month ago.

Crazy DVD lady

Let me preface this with the fact that we cannot return DVDs,Video Games, CDs that have been opened, unless the customer wants to exchange it for the exact same item because of federal copyright laws.

So knowing that, I had a lady come through and wanted to return the movie Chihuahua, and get a different movie. I explained the copyright law to her, and told her I was sorry & she could have her movie back. So she's like it's still mine right? I said yes, she said okay, ripped the DVD case out of my hands, snaps the DVD out of the case and tries to break it, but is unable to, and then grabs the pen out of my hand, scribbles all over the back of the dvd, and tosses it over the counter into my garbage can.

Crazy Coupon Lady

This one was only a couple of days ago. It was Thursday. I had a lady come up with her little girl & she looked really pouty. I asked her what I could do for her, she wanted me to accept a $5 off entire purchase coupon, which is one of the ONLY coupons we don't accept. I told her we unfortunately did not accept those types of coupons, and if she wanted to talk to one of my supervisors over, so I called Dee over & she told her the same thing as I was going on my lunch, and she started crying over $5. I mean really?!?! that's a little absurd and obnoxious.

Most days I come home tell Mady & Lynn at least one of these types of stories, and then we all have a good laugh :D

Blog Design(:

You may have noticed something different when you clicked on my name to read this post, I got a MAKEOVER! I must say I love my new digs! Who was my designer you ask? Well the amazing Amber of course! I had used Brittany Ciara for my first two blog designs, and decided to try someone new, and I love what she did!

This weekend was great! I got to spend time with my grandparents this afternoon which was much needed. I worked two short shifts which was nice. Mady & I had our usual Saturday Movie Day. We watched The Other Guys, Baby Mama, and UP. My first time seeing UP and I LOVED it! Such a good-SQUIRREL-movie (:

Today was church at 9:30, and it was a good message. Our pastor issued a challenge to the church saying from now to Labor Day he challenged us to read the Bible each week 5 of the 7 days out of the week. I took the challenge. I'm hoping to succeed! We got home, Lynn & Ryan headed to Ryan's lacrosse games, and Mady & I started to watch What A Girl Wants...yes What a Girl Wants. lol. We got a call from my Grandma asking us over for lunch & to play cards. We played 19 and Arizona Spaghetti, I tied with Mads in 19 & was the big Loser in AZ spaghetti. We talked, laughed & I have some quotes to share from today.

Grandma to Jack(my cousin): Zip it or I'll tape it...talking bout his mouth.

Mady: Jack did you just fart?
Everybody then laughs until they cry and we have to redeal because we can't remember whose turn it was.

Mady: Jack is it your turn? Fart once for yes.

We then went home, & watched UP and then re-watched What a Girl Wants (:

Grandma, Grandpa & Jack picked me up for work, and we were talking about poems that Jack had to do for his English.'

Grandpa: I'm glad I never had to do poems for English.
Jack: I'm in enriched
Grandma: Rich, you didn't even pass basic english!

It was a fun day.

I worked a 4.5 hour shift, and then came home and watched Army Wives

I'm so glad that Trevor & Roxy are okay though!

Today has been such a great day! It is my first actual day off in MONTHS! If I am off of work, I have school & vice versa. I'm on my three week break from school before going back for summer semester.

I'm home alone, because everybody else is out mowing. I do NOT mow. I am the laundry chick. I hate mowing. & I am not good at it.

It's finally starting to get nice out around here. Mady & I took a bike ride with cooper, and then laid out on our trampoline.

We came in & Mady made grilled cheese it was amazingg! Apparently we're having manwich tonight too. I LOVE MANWICH! lol. It's the simple things lol.

Last night at work, I was able to work customer service almost all night. I learned how to do claims & how to close customer service. It was a good night.

I went to my mom's house between work on saturday & work on Sunday. It was nice to go home. I got to see my aunt & grandma which was great. I miss my granny.

So this my first time doing miscellany monday...so I'm pretty pumped.

Miscellaneous Ramblings

-one- So I'm also doing Mingle Monday. The first blog hop/meme that I ever joined! I love it! I've met some great bloggers from this awesome Monday tradiiton! Go check it out if you haven't yet!!!

-two- My weekend was awesome. Friday I worked a short shift & then went home & stenoed for awhile. Saturday...watched The Blind Side...love that movie. Tim McGraw hello? YES PLEASE! Worked 2 to 11. I like that shift for whatever reason. My favorite CSM's work during that shift. Sunday, Sunday was probably the best day of the weekend. We went to The Crossing again. I love love love that church <3. Then I got home & headed over to my grandma's to help her throw my cousin's fiancee a bridal shower. It was SO much fun. I don't really get to see my grandma's side of the fam that much, I see my grandpa's all the time cause they are up at the cabin wiff us. Anywhosit, the groom-to-be? HOT! Like oh my goodness. His wifey-to-be is one lucky lady! Haha. I helped her out for most of the party & then Mady, Lynn & Ryan got back from Ryan's lacrosse game, they took over, so I could go home & have some "me" time before work. I gave my Grandma a hug & she's like thanks for helping...I appreciate it & you more than you will ever know, have a good night at work...cue the awww. I'm so glad her & my grandpa are home for the summer. I'm still waiting for my grandpa to take me to Daddy O's and/or DQ for the first time this spring. lol. I love my grandparents. Speaking of which, my Grandpa,Lynn,Dad & Ryan picked me up from work Saturday night, and somehow we got on the topic of alcohol sales & how we card anybody looking under 40 to sell. Lynn asked me so do you card just about anybody, and I say yes unless I can tell they are like 80. My grandpa says so would you card me....I say NOPE! *Foot meet mouth* My Grandpa is 66 and doesn't look a day over 55, & sure doesn't act his age . We all laughed about it the rest of the way home. Glad I could be a comic relief guys :D

-three- I am so glad that I only have two weeks left before a two week break from school!

-four- Speaking of school, we had an extra long break in my class today, and while we were waiting for my teacher to get back we laughed so hard. I love the girls in my class!

-five- I totally didn't study for the test I have in my next class...so glad this is the second to last class with this instructor. He has NO teaching skills at all!

It's Mingle Monday around these parts!

How was your Easter?

Mine was FANTASTIC! I woke up yesterday, showered, kept my hair down(my grandma likes it down :D so my hair was free for the day. Went to the Crossing Church which is amazing. They advertise themselves as the church for the people who don't do church, but I DO do church, and I still love it! Anyways, after church, I helped Lynn aka Crip(I don't know if I mentioned here, but she broke her ankle a month and a half ago), make cheesy hashbrowns & a dessert called Angel Lush which was delcious! It has angel food cake, cool whip, pineapple, & strawberries. I have the recipe if anyone wants it. After that I had to work 1:30 to 7. Went to the grandparents house and had din din that my grandma made especially for me(the others had already eaten.) We played cards while Lynn & Dad brought Matt home(Matt is my biological brother & he lives with my mom.) I love spending time with my grandparents. They are so AWESOME (:

& today has been filled with school. Right now I'm on break til 5. I am listening to pandora & just relaxing. Hopefully technologies goes fast, because my cousin Spencer & Uncle Don are coming over afterwards :D :D :D
