Sunday Social
1. Do you plan to change any of your eating habits in the new year?
Drink more water and eat less fast food.  

2. Any workout tips to get us back in shape after the holidays?
Make it fun! Have an accountability partner, do a monthly challenge, Pinterest has tons of them floating around.  
3. What is your favorite thing you did over the holidays?
Spent time with my families, both of them.  Seeing my cousin Spencer, staying up til 4am with my momma on New Years Eve. 
4. What is something you hope that you accomplish in 2014 that you did not in 2013?
I'd love to have my own place by the end of the year, we'll see if that happens though! 

5. Name 3 things happening this year you are excited about and why.
-my best friend is getting married. 
-my brother and sister are both graduating!
-possibly getting my own place!

Meghan's Mixtape #1.

Last year, I did a few Songs on Saturdays where I'd share a favorite or a few favorite songs from that past week.  I want to continue doing that this year, but I'm going to re-launch it under the name of Meghan's Mixtape, where every Saturday I'll be sharing a favorite song and possibly music news that has me excited.

anything that has peppermint and chocolatey from the clearance candy aisle.

the beginning of a new year always gets me excited, but not quite as much as this year has!

I'm happy :)

Meghan's Sexiest Men of 2013

yes, I'm doing 2013's sexiest men in 2014, sue me :)


Blake Shelton, I loved him with the mullet, I love him now.  I can't wait to see his music video for Doing What She Likes! 


Brantley Gilbert, he's probably my number 1.  I love his new song and can't wait to hear the rest of his new album! 


Gary Taylor, he's a model/fitness dude.  He's also got a heart of gold.  I "met" him through one of my favorite authors Kelly Elliot :)  


Kasey Kahne, any guy who can look this good and drive cars at hundreds of miles per hour and not get himself killed, he's very sexy in my book.

Owning 2014.


2013 was a year of changes for me.  I moved back into my Mom's house part time for the last six months, my stepsister moved out of my Dad's, I didn't talk to my grandparents for six weeks, I met my stepdad's parents for the first time, the first full year without my Grandma.  

I think 2014 will be a great year, and I can't wait to see what life has in store for me!  I thought I'd start out with some 2014 goals. 

Meghan's 2014 Resolutions


  • Have 300 blog posts this year. 
  • Promote better with facebook, twitter & pinterest. 
  • Read 150 books & use Goodreads to keep track of them. 
  • Read the entire Bible.
  • Do Project 365
  • Sucessfully complete fat mum slim's photo a day challenge each month as well.
  • Have at least one blate. 
  • Do the 52-week money saving challenge
  • Continue writing my book
  • Use the my gratitude journal app to find at least one thing I'm happy/thankful for about each day. 
  • celebrate my best friend's wedding with her
  • drink at least four glasses of water a day
  • do couch to 5k this spring/summer
  • be active at least 3x a week. 

& one thing I hope to do differently in 2014? I want to cultivate my friendships more and spend more quality time with my family as well!
